Description

An Asthma Community Grants 2004 project, the Caring for Baby’s Air Program is based on the Asthma Foundation of WA Newborns Asthma and Parental Smoking Project (NAPS). Designed as a sustainable program that raises the awareness of new mothers and pregnant women as to the effects of smoking on the unborn foetus and newborns, the Division is continuing to support the goal of this program in encouraging this target population to create and maintain a non-smoking environment for the benefit of the foetus and newborn.

Baby Starter Packs

The program has purchased Baby Starter Packs from the Newborns Asthma and Parental Smoking Project of the Asthma Foundation of WA,. These packs contain a calendar of the baby’s progress during pregnancy, a photo holder and stickers.
